Koga had finally made it to Petrel city and the place was astounding. Much busyer than the rest stop and much more hustle and bustle than Turnstone. Koga watched in intrigue as Pokemon and humans worked together with stuff such as construction. Some even helped with there trainers groceries and roamed the streets enjoying there time out. Never had he seen such companionship out in the open. Koga ventured through the stalls and streets enjoying the fresh City air before he came upon a complex in which people were building what looked like an arena. He could even see the set up what looked like the fighting arenas on T.V. Maybe this was the gym he'd heard about from the people whispering and chattering in the streets. Koga was a tad content but also overwhelmed by all the people. To many that he didn't know for his liking especially when he saw some of the unsavory type. It was just about ten in the morning though so he had an entire day ahead of him. Maybe he'd go to a restaraunt of sorts. Maybe stop in the convenient Pokemart. Check out the Pokecenter or try to make a new friend or two in this new city.

As soon as Zane felt he could walk into town comfortably, he slid off of his Ponyta and did so. Walking at her side, he summoned Sora down with a whistle. The Gligar would swoop down and collide with Zane's back, grabbing on to his shoulders with a tough grip. At this point she was more of a backpack than a poke'mon. Light enough to forget about, but moving every so often kept Zane in remembrance of her. It was these two that Zane travelled with, because Sora hated her ball, and Ponyta deserved the freedom for working hard to take him places.
But now they were in the city, and it was nothing like he had ever seen. It was even different than Saffron City. Though Aesthetically similar, the amount of poke'mon out in the open was amazing. Back in Kanta most poke'mon that he had ever seen were inside their poke'ball and only brought out in case of need. But it seemed like everyone had theirs out here. So instead of putting Ponyta away like he thought he had to, he let her walk beside him as be made his way to the poke'mart to replace some supplies he had used on his trip out here. Poke'balls, potions, bandages, and more. But as he was buying his gear, there was a commotion outside. The shop owner smiled as she bagged his items handing them over. "Probably just a poke'mon battle, no worries."
Zane smiled and took his stuff quickly, joining his Ponyta outside who was already watching a battle between a man's bulbasaur and another girls Turtwig. "Battle of grass starter poke'mon, awesome!" he said and watched carefully.

Koga had just recently made it from the Pokecenter to see if anything intrigueing was going on in the where abouts inside but sadly it was as dull as any other Pokecenter he'd been to in his life. Oh well. He thought it was worth the visit just in case, even so the nurse there always seemed to be very attractive. He had then made his way to the Pokemart to refill on Pokeballs and to see if they had any new candies in this city. Once he arrived he walked inside without a moments note and immediately made a b-line to the candy section. It wasn't much compared to the candy shops he'd been in but they had so much different candy than he was used to. So he nabbed a few pallets of candy bars and then some water and made his way to the front counter. Just because he was young however didn't make him poor. He worked often for random villagers with things that they needed help with such as house work, yard work, and the occasional Poke sitting. He paid the nice person behind the counter and put one of the candy bars into his mouth as he started packing them into his bag. "Thank you..." Koga had said with a mouth full of candy.
He then turned outside and ran into a crowd of people apparently who were circling around for a Pokebattle. Koga's short stature was going to get him no where but he could see the slight glimpses of the two starter grass types. Koga shrugged and started looking around for a moments notice and then leaned against the wall. His white hair seemed to be blinding in the sunlight at this hour and caused him to get some looks from the people going into the Pokemart un interested in the Pokebattle outside. Koga had seen a boy who was in the Poke mart a moment ago and noticed a gligar on his back. Koga made his way over to him and found that there was an opening beside him. The small white haired boy made his way over to to the area and tugged on the other boys shirt in hopes he'd notice. Koga then looked up at him with a kind smile. "Can i squeeze in right here?" He pointed to the area infront of him.

Zane felt a tug at his shirt and he lifted his arm to see who was there. A boy with white hair, probably just very blonde, had something to say to him. The child couldn't have been more than ten or eleven years old, and his voice was rather high. He merely wanted to get a better look at the fight, and Zane smiled and nodded his head, side stepping to let the boy in for a view of what was happening.
The battle was pretty close, as grass moves they both knew were useless against the other grass types. And though Bulbasaur seemed strong, the Turtwig seemed to be able to endure most of the hits. The question was what wins in a battle, offense or defense? That was what was going through Zane's head. "Does being able to outlast win battles, or the ability to take down your opponent quickly win out?" he mumbled out loud, speaking in a ton that most of the other bystanders were taking. By now, Sora the Gligar was on top of Zane's head getting a view of the action with a dopey smile on her face.

Koga smiled up at the boy as he moved aside and Koga moved quickly into the spot. He'd gotten another candy bar out and started to eat on it. He seemed to be very intent on the fight and thought of his own ways that he'd be doing it since he was just recently in the same predicament in training. Koga started making random hum sound when he was eating his candy as he thought and then he heard the boy behind him mutter something. "Offense or Defense?" That's what Koga caught as he somewhat looked up a tad bit and pointed in the direction of the battle. "Oh... I don't know in this case but I'd say the Bulbasaur should be winning. The trainer just isn't using the right skill set i think." Koga nodded to himself before tilting his head and continuing to eat on his candy bar. Even though the boy was young he seemed to know what he was talking about in the situation.

While the boy believed he knew what he was talking about, Zane's though wave was not on the skill set the trainers were using. "I'd say that they are evenly matched in what the pokemon can do, but one has more power and the other is hardier. It's a matter of who can come out on top." he replied and then watched as the two poke'mon charged at each other, going in for a head butt. Smashing into each other, they both seemed to faint equally. The crowd came alive with talk of No way! Amazing!. The trainers seemed to be dumbfounded and couldn't understand how they had lost. But soon enough this pair would join together to discuss the battle at the poke'center nearby and the crowd was soon dispersed. "What did you mean by the skill set?" Zane asked the unamed boy.
[Did you seriously just type Idk in your spoken text?]

Koga looked around as the people dispersed and he watched intrigued as the two Pokemon finished one another off at the same time. Almost as it were intended that way, Koga then nodded and turned back to the boy with the candy bar in his mouth looking up. Koga's eyes were a tad lost in thought before he finally shook his head and started talking. "Well... Since Bulbasaur is much more agile in speed and his bulb is much more impressive then the shell of Turtwig... Bulbasaur should easily be able to out manuever the Turtwig... Also on the later note Bulbasaur could use the vines from it's bulb to keep distance while widdling down the Turtwig... As well as tripping it up or keeping it surpressed..." Koga nodded while he seemed to be thinking deeply about his words.
(Yea I guess I did wasn't paying much attention was tired or I'd just woken up >.<)

Zane thought about his words for a moment and held a finger up in the air in a counter argument. "But is it not Turtwig's nature to outlast the opponent by using his shell as a defense? He merely must turn slightly for the attacks to hit it instead of his more fragile body." he proposed. This little person in front of him was actually quite perceptive in watching the battle, so Zane began to assume a few things. "Must be one of those school kids who study nothing but poke'mon. He is pretty smart about it." he thought and then looked back at the new empty area. Pulling out a poke'ball he returned the flaming horse at his side to her ball and then took a deep breath. He had some more questions after he gave his response. "So you live around here? Go to the local poke'mon school?"

Koga looked upward at the sky and then back to the ground thinking for a moment and nodding as he did so as he then lifted up. "That is true but what about the speed in which the Bulbasaur could move it could easily juke the Turtwig out and find an opening maybe on it's belly or legs of course." Koga nodded some more and smiled as the guy then returned one of his Pokemon and he tilted his head as he met gaze with the Gligar. Then he'd asked another series of questions, well two questions but Koga listened to them and then looked a bit shellshocked. "No I don't live around here I'm from Turnstone VIllage maybe you've heard of it? Also as far as I know I've never been to a Pokemon school... I just find them really interesting... What about you? "

The slight wind moving through the city and touched Zane's blonde hair as if it were grass upon the Crossroad plains. It swayed ever so slightly under neath the beanie he always wore; a beanie that he had grown to wear out of habit not necessity. Every breath of sweet air filled his lungs anew as he stood with this newly greeted boy who seemed to know the ins and outs of poke'mon extensively. Or perhaps, the kid had a liking for grass types and studied them; of course, he could have just been perceptive.
Zane's hazel eyes looked upon the boys image as he listened to what he said. Koga informed him that he was from Turnstone, a place where many started their journey from in Kyozon. The very place that Zane had taken his first steps as a trainer with Abra. Zane would make his response in a tone that meant he was content and pleased with how his day was proceeding so far. "Yea, I've heard of it. Hell I just arrived in Petrel on a journey from there. We probably both stopped at the same rest point between here and there." Zane said, taking a moment to organize his next words. "Wait, you never been to a school? You sure know your way about the techniques. You must have studied somewhere, unless you have those poke'mon?" he inquired, as Gligar hopped down to the ground and began chasing after a Rattata it saw scurrying nearby. "Don't go too far." Zane warned. He could just imagine his poor poke'mon pushing into some part of the sewer only to become trapped and needing the proper authorities called to find it.

Koga continued to look at the boy as he then focused on the gilgar that decided to chase after the most of silly Pokemon that Koga had ever ran accrost. Koga then looked back up to the boy with his pale blue eyes connecting with the hazel eyes in which the boy had. Koga's hair also began to move in the wind but unlike zane's his was not contained by a beanie so it was flowing about and making his hair scragely. Koga made note of the boys words and tilted his head. "You mean the rest stop on route 2? yea i stoppped there for a moment but it was quite dull of a place." Koga nodded and then thought for a moment about his life and the experiences in which made him good at knowing Pokemon. "I... guess... Pokemon.... have always been my hobby... I've studied them through books and... Watched them on my own for quite some time...."

Zane tapped on his chin for a moment in thinking of just the title he would give to the boy after his response. "What do they call them..." he questioned, thinking back to a couple of conversations he had inside the poke'center at the Route Two Rest Stop. He seemed a bit shy however, so Zane wasn't sure that the title really applied to him; Poke'maniac was what his mind drew to. But under a more timed thought, he would probably label him a poke'nerd, or Poke'fan. However, Koga didn't seem to be a fan of any certain poke'mon. "A hobby eh? Well you must have alot of time on your hands then! My name's Zane, it's good to meet'cha" he smiled sticking a hand forward to shake the young boys.

Saarda and Emery- who she usually kept out of his ball- were strolling through the city. She was trying to find her way out, but that wasn't working well. Emery was having a great time with all the smells and sights and sounds. He was practically prancing, nose up in the air, fluffy tail wagging to and fro, "Odd little furball." She muttered anxiously. She'd been accosted earlier that day, and did not want to make a repeat. She was hyperaware of everything around her, especially when she saw some masked grunts in black with a red RR emblazoned on their chests. She shivered and walked fast in the other direction. "If they see us, they might want to fight. You up for-" That was when she ran smack into someone. She turned back, and stumbled away. "I'm really sorry, I-?" She cocked her head- rather like growlithe, but don't tell her that- and, startled blurted, "Zane? What are you doing here?"

Koga arched his head as the boy before him was thinking and Koga had enough time to pull out a couple of candy bars as he ripped it open with his teeth quickly and then bit into the sweet succulent chocolate waiting for him to reply. Zane then spoke again and Koga listened intently as he chewed on the sweet melting chocolate. He then nodded and swallowed the chocolate he was chewing on. "Yea... I.... I guess... You could say that..." Koga looked down thinking to himself before the boy happily extended his hand to Koga and introduced himself. Koga hadn't met anyone aside from the two around Turnstone when he was there. Koga's ears seemed to perk up as he looked at him for a minute before a smile slid accrost his face and he extended his hand in response grabbing hold of Zane's and shaking it for a moment firmly. "I'm... I'm Koga... Nice... To meet you..." Koga was smiling happily as he closed his eyes with an intense smile. As he pulled his hand back however he then saw Zane get plowed over by a girl who then seemed to know who he was. She talked as Koga was looking down at the Growlithe intently with a bit of glimmer in his eyes. Normally he'd worry about his new friend but the Growlithe seemed to becon his attention.

For a moment, Koga seemed to hesitate for some reason with a expressionless visage. For just a few moments, Zane felt like retracting his hand and wanted to walk away from the awkward situation. But thankfully, he was met with a smile and a small, but firm handshake with the white haired boy giving his name slowly, but surely. He seemed pretty timid, and Zane had to sympathize for a moment. He could only imagine what it would be like to be so young in a world of trainers who were so much old than him. Even Zane recognized just how tall her was compared to the boy and dealt with it appropriately.
Just as their hands parted, and Zane was just about to talk, the world seemed to shift like the sand of an hour glass being turned sideways. "Wha!" he exclaimed as he was bumped into by someone he had not noticed, but thankfully caught himself with a quick reaction and stood straight again looking at who had bumped into him rudely. Looking into her eyes with annoyance in his eyes, his expression changed to that of surprise as he realized who it was at the same time she tilted her head. "Whoa Saarda! Never expected to see you so soon." he laughed, totally forgetting about the slight bump he had just endured. "I had stopped by the Poke'mart to get some supplies and a battle was going on. What are you up to here in the city?" he asked quickly and looked to Koga. Raising a hand he booped himself in the head and chuckled. "Sorry bout that. Saarda, this is Koga, Koga, Saarda. He and I just met watching a poke'mon battle here in the streets." Zane said with formality, noticing the small boys eyeing the growlithe. Perhaps he wasn't paying attention?
