"Sorry, Zane, I was..." She looked back, trying to spy out the ruby grunts in the crowd, but couldn't. If she were more suspicious, and less sure of herself, she might have thought it was her overtaxed mind playing a trick on her, but she knew better. "I think someone was following me. I kinda got mugged earlier. Well, not really, because the guy was an oaf and I was not going to give up my pokemon!" She was obviously flustered. Emery whined and barked at her, trying to get her attention, and make her smile. Sorry I hit you. I'm kinda nervous." She looked back while patting Emery on the head distractedly. "Oh, hello, Koga." She said, noticing the young boy's apparent interest in Emery. "He's cool huh? Em, say hello to Koga." She said with a smile. "He's my best buddy." She scratched the puppy's head affectionately, pushing her anxiety back. "Saved me from the mugger, earlier. Well, he and Trish, my Electrike." She smiled. "Want to pet him? He won't bite you, will you good boy?"
Emery barked shaking his head as he padded eagerly around in a circle, his tail wagging hard.
"Good boy. Say hello." Emery barked and went to lick Koga on the face.

Koga had still been intentely watching the Growlithe with sparkles in his eyes almost like he'd just found a diamond. Koga smiled brighter than Zane had seen him smile as he semi heard the conversation and Koga shook out of it quickly for only a moment to speak. "Hi....uhm.... I.... I... I aaaaam..... Koga.... n... nic..... nice to.... m-m-m-meet you...." His eyes were still on the Growlithe as he then noticed her hand pat it on the head. Only to then be glomped by the Growlithe in it's attempt to lick him as he chuckled and the dog Pokemon began to lick his face vigourously. Koga started to laugh uncontrollably and pet the Puppy back beginning to roll with it and try to move his face away from the wide flat tongue of the dog. His face now soaked in Pokemon saliva he still could not stop giggling like a small child which rarely ever happened as his hair was beggining to pick up dirt in it.

When she spoke, Zane could tell something was slightly amiss and began to keep an eye on her body language. But he didn't really have to because she made the situation clear as day. "What!?" he shouted in disbelief. Though it ended well, Zane's expression still held some worry. His thoughts went back to the story of her mother, and how she was nearly put into that position. "Team Rocket is here in Kyozon?" he questioned in alarm. But Zane wouldn't be vocalizing his words, because the situation had taken a turn for the better. A small kid playing with a puppy was now the subject at hand.
Zane smiled at how Saarda interacted with the seemingly shy boy. In fact, Koga seemed infatuated with the growlithe before him; like he had one as a pet at home or something. As the small dog began to lick his face, Zane did want to inquire more about how his poke'mon was doing, and just who had mugged Saarda. "So Saarda, are you saying Team Rocket is in Kyozon? Were they trying to steal your poke'mon?" he questioned, ignoring the boy rolling on the street.

As Emery mauled Koga, and the sound of childish laughter filled the air, some of the edge fell away from Saarda's mood. After a moment of contemplative seeming silence, Zane asked in am almost hushed whisper, "So Saarda, are you saying Team Rocket is in Kyozon? Were they trying to steal your poke'mon?"
Saarda gritted her teeth, and nodded, "There was only one, he didn't even pull out any pokemon, just a weapon. Demanded that I give him what he wanted. My pokemon." She laughed bitterly, "There was no way. Almost... well it seemed like he hadn't even stopped talking before I set Trish and Emery on him. Then Tai and Pidge went to get Officer Jenny, and it was all over... but ever since then, I've had this feeling, like somebody's watching me... and I keep seeing that uniform." She shivered. "I wish they would just come out and confront me! I could deal wit them, and get it over with- but this is-" She shivered. "I hate this. And on top of that, I got lost. I haven't been able to find my way anywhere."
She looked around nervously. Then, seeing nothing she asked, "So how is Shalini? Growing well? Is she getting along with the others?" As she asked, she released Shadow, who immediately puffed out his chest and pressed against the outside of her leg, glaring out into the crowd, he could sense his trainer's anxiety, and he was trying his best to allieviate it. There was, after all, no reason to worry about anything now that he' was there! Saarda scratched his ear. "Shadow is doing pretty well." The houndour then spotted his original trainer and gave a bark of greeting.

Koga rolled around with the Growlithe in the middle of the street as people gave odd looks while walking by but then moving on. Koga began to laugh in pain however as he'd began to lose the ability to breath from the hard laughter that he was going through. Koga however was having such fun that he didn't try to push the cute Growlithe away instead he attempted to roll ontop of the Growlithe like a puppy as well but the dog continued to roll over and switch positions which caused Koga to laugh even harder. He was now coughing in attempts to breath as he held his side with one arm. It seemed like he was laughing just to laugh at this point as Koga hadn't laughed in a very long time and never really got the oppurtunities to be happy. Koga caught what the two were saying but only slightly as his voice was echoing much louder then they were speaking. As he started to gasp for air a click could be heard. Then the group was met with a red beam that shot out aside to Koga which formed into a tall visage before it cleared up and Skarmory stood above the two and screeched. She was obviously reacting as though Koga was in danger and she sensed it as she was now looking at Growlithe in an intimidating factor.
Growlithe then hopped off of the now browned and dirtied boy as the Skarmory stood towering protectively. Koga's eyes widened as he tried to get up to his feet and brush himself off while attempting to get his Pokeball for her out. The bystanders were firghtened by the sudden screech as well and the metalic body. Koga then finally got the ball and pointed it at Skarmory. His eyes were a tad fearful in hopes that nobody was hurt or to afraid now. She had been very protective lately as though Koga was like a child of hers or part of her territory. Koga then looked down at the ground and then up at the two beside him with a slight look of concern and then an embarrassed smile.".... soo..... sooo.... sorry..... She.... she is.... is uhm... Protective...." He looked down now in shame as though he'd done something wrong.

His arms crossed against his chest, listening intently for details about what had happened to his friend. When she relayed the information that she felt like someone was watching, Zane took a gander around looking for those familiar black and red uniforms. With no luck, his eyes met hers once again as she finished. "Lost? Well then we better get you a map soon, shouldn't we." he said in a somewhat happy tone, to lighten the mood.
"She is doing great! Her and Sasha seem to have already become partners in whatever they do. As for the others, they all seem to be content, so I think she is safely assimilated." he responded, dropping a poke'ball to release her so she could greet her former trainer. "Phan!" she cried in happiness, raising her trunk in a wave. Zane also nodded his head toward Shadow and gave a quick and caring directive. "You make sure you keep her safe."
Suddenly and without warning, a Skarmory appeared from Koga's poke'balls. Zane jumped back in surprise and held his ears as the bird shrieked loudly. "Whoa!" he exclaimed, quickly getting his poke'dex out to record the information before Koga returned the creature. Once it registered, he returned the device to his pocket, not bothering to trigger the audial information. The small boy stuttered out some words of apology and Zane couldn't help but laugh and respond to the 'protective' bit. "You sure are a keen observer of the obvious Koga." he laughed and noticed Shalini cowering behind him. "Oh no..." he sighed, crouching down to his Phanpy. "It's gone now don't worry, plus it's a friendly poke'mon no need to worry Shalini..." he consoled, rubbing his hand along it's head. Looking to Saarda, he sighed and stood back up. "How did it even get out?" he asked.

Saarda stepped back abruptly as Skarmory appeared, and shrieked at them. She covered her ears. "What just-" She squinted down at Growlithe, who was looking startled and a little guilty. "Was that you?" Meanwhile, Shadow had agressively stood and puffed out his chest. He was quite ready for a fight, it seemed. Perhaps he was just being overprotective? "Emery, look at me." She said, ignoring the steel bird as her trainer dealt with her. "Was that you?" She sighed, "Watch your toes, boy!" She said rolling her eyes, "It's not good to go letting pokemon out of their balls in the middle of the city! Especially other trainer's pokemon! Remember it can get you hurt! And you went overboard, with that greeting." She shook her head, "I'm sorry, Shadow stand down- I'm sorry if Emery hurt you, and he didn't mean to release your pokemon. He's.. a little overzealous." She cast a glance at Shadow again, "Boy, Skarmory is gone. You can calm down. Thank you." He looked back at his trainer and with a lolling tongue, trotted back to sit on her right foot. She shook her head. "Oh, Zane, is Shalini OK?" She asked spying the scared little pokemon hiding behind her trainer.
After that, the atmosphere cooled, and Saarda remembered Zane's comment about the map. "Oh, yeah. That'd be helpful. Well... I mean, we're going to be traveling together, right? As long as one of us can find their way, it shouldn't be too bad." She shrugged. "Hey... Koga, you ever been to the Platinum Pass? Zane and I, are headed there next. We're doing an important mission for Professor Willow, from Kaishi. If you want you can meet us out there. I can't talk details right now, but..." She shrugged, looking at Zane, who seemed to be OK with it. "But we'll give you some information when you get there. Sound good?"
[[OOC Zane and I are extending an invite to For The Professor, which is after this in the timeline. So, time to wrap this thread up. You can post in For the Prof after you post here. I'll message you with a few more details.]]

Koga looked down and began to blush when Zane began laughing and poking fun at him. Koga was used to it but he'd felt as though he'd done something wrong by allowing one of his Pokemon to come out of there Pokeball... He didn't know how or what caused it but he seemed to think it was all his fault. After a few moments he heard Saarda comment about her Growlithe letting the Pokemon out as he peered over out of the corner of his eye at the now sad looking Growlithe. Koga then looked up as he was extended an invitation for an adventure. "I... uhm... I n... never ..... have never... Been on an adventure before... Well at least with other people...." His face began to become unflustered and his speech began to straighten out into sentences instead of stutters. "I have passed ... by the platinum pass before.... BUt I've never... Really been in there..." He thought for a moment before nodding to himself." But first I'm gonna need more candy bars." He quickly ran into the convenient store right beside them and was gone for a few moments before he came back out and had two full boxes of chocolate bars in his arms and a unwrapped one in his mouth happily munching on it as he came back to the group. "O...kay.... I'm shet...." He said with muffled words with the candy in his mouth. He pulled his backpack off and emptied the contents into the bag making it pretty full and looked up at the two awaiting for there responses. "Should..... i... Follow you?"

Zane smiled kindly to Saarda and confirmed a response to her question with a nod of the head. "Yes she is fine." Quietly, Zane smiled as Saarda invited their new aquaintance on their mission; she was right, it was no trouble at all. He revealed that he had never really been out on any kind of trip with other people. "No wonder he is so damn awkward. The kid probably hasn't had a decent friend." But he quickly went into the store nearby and came out with boxes full of candy. "Holy-" Zane mumbled with wide eyes. He wanted to object to a choice of nutrition, but hey, he wasn't one to argue over food. "Yea sure, and Saarda, I already have a map, so we should be set. Let's get whatever else we need and get on our way."

As Koga rushed back out of the store with a box full of candy, Saarda frowned. "Er... that stuff will rot your teeth, ya' know... I'm just sayin cause I think I'm the eldest in our group, and... er... I kinda feel like I should be adult. Maybe you should... go get some broccoli or something. Ya know... to balance all that out." Then she looked at Zane, "I bought some berries, some rice, and some other good stuff." She shrugged. "And since I have two fire types now, we shouldn't have to worry about being cold. I'm ready. To the pass?" She suggested, anxious to move forward with their adventure.
