Back out on the plains, Amber had her poke'mon safely inside their poke'balls. She had only seen a fraction of the area and wasn't satisfied in her search for poke'mon with power. The Vulpix she had caught was rather self absorbed when she had met it back at the Poke'center in town. But now she had a plan for it. Pulling the capsule off her belt, the young women tossed it outward to release her new Vulpix. "You lived here, so you must know where all the good poke'mon are. So get to tracking!" she ordered. Her Vulpix looked at her for a moment and took a long yawn before checking her surroundings and placing her snout to the ground to see if she could pick up a scent. The six tails behind her slowly moved to and fro until she froze upon a spot in the grass. Pressing forward with her nose, Vulpix memorized the scent and looked upward in a northern direction. Turning to her trainer, she gave a simple noise for her to follow. "Vul!" Amber withheld her smile until Vulpix would actually produce some kind of strong poke'mon. The trainer started after her Poke'mon who was hot on the trail.

At first, Amber thought that the little Vulpix was leading her on a wild goose chase. The first poke'mon they had come upon was a Rattata and the red head nearly kicked Vulpix for finding such a weak creature. But as it would turn out, the Rattata was actually just on the trail that the small fox was on and they moved forward.
There was one kind of Poke'mon that Vulpix had always tended to stay away from, and that was the Nidoran. Their poison abilities were always a problem for it in the wild. So the new poke'mon figured it would be a great asset for it's new trainer.
Soon they happened upon it, the nidoran. It was munching on something unseen as Amber folded her arms with a glare toward Vulpix. The small pokemon nodded her head quickly as if confirming it were strong. "Well, get at it!" Amber urged. The vulpix turned toward it fearfully remembering the past fights it had had when it was wild. But it didn't want to let Amber down so it snarled lowly and approached smoothly.
The Nidoran turned to eye it cautiously and slowly backed away. "Whatare you waiting for, Ember!" Amber called. Vulpix summoned the flame from within and opened it's maw to release the flame. Nidoran quickly evaded with fear of the very hot force. It's temper flared and began attacking with the point on it's head. Vulpix yelled as it barely dodged the ferocious attacks and nipped as a counter.
"Oh come on, you're better than that." Amber said while shaking her head. "Stop holding back and just attack!" she dictated watching the attack. It was true, Vulpix was holding back in case of that poison. With a quick sigh, the battle took a turn and Vulpix jumped onto the Nidoran, it's fangs beared and claws tearing. The nidoran was flailing itself all over. It's point coming very close to penetrating Vulpix's fur. To stop this, the fox quickly went for the neck with it's maw and bit down hard to pin it to the ground. Growling and snarling, the two poke'mon struggled for dominance as Vulpix held it down. "Vul!" the pokemon shouted, signalling for Amber to make a move to catch it.
But Amber was still deciding whether she wanted it or not. It seemed to have spirit, and energy left. If she even got it in the capsule, would it accept capture? Taking a Poke'ball, she tossed it toward the Nidoran to attempt to catch it.

Your Nidoran is very gentle with everything he does. He also seems to be jealous of pretty much everything that has to do with another trainer's pokemon.

"Good." Amber huffed and moved over to retrieve the poke'ball. She looked at Vulpix after picking it up and frowned. "What happened? You did alot more to Nitro in your first encounter. Nervous or something?" she asked. "Well come on, we'll work that out of you." she grunted and then continued on, the limping Vulpix behind her somewhat sadden by letting her trainer down.
