As the ferryman ushers everyone onto the boat, Sova looks back at them, and then down at her feet as Kiki drags the guys onto the ferry.
"Surrender, or I will sink that ship."
The voice was one Sova hadn't expected to hear and it was familiar. It was Greyson's voice. Sova Knew it immediately, as well as the heavy beating of Trouble the staraptor's wings. She's gripped by something like guilt and awe, and she knows, "I can't go with you." She's gripped by the realization that she doesn't know these people, but she does know and believe in the league. She steps off the gangplank. Her pokemon return to their balls. The ferry begins to move away, and Sova, for her part, her face red from exertion and shame, says "I surrender."

"Huh?" She couldn't believe her eyes. One of them actually stepped off, hands in the air, surrendering. No way. My job is never this fucking easy... She held back Trouble, her midnight flyer beating her wings with intense power as she tensed under the touch of her trainer. As much as she wanted to believe it was a trap, she knew the kid wasn't lying. They all seemed so... broken. Greyson shook her head. No time to feel sorry for criminals, especially murderers. The League Fighters were coming up the path, soon they'd be on the docks. Why was she always so immobilized in moments like this?
The boat lurched as the ferryman kicked off from the dock. It seems the party was leaving without their friend. "Miss Greyson!" Drasna's stern voice called her to action. She held out her hand. "Take the girl. Do not give chase to the boat. She'll do for now. We've suffered enough casualties for one day." Greyson ordered, although she hardly believed it was her speaking. I sound more like you with every passing day, Lance. She griped, flying her Staraptor down towards docks. She kicked off from the bird's back and landed close to Sova. Trouble screeched from the sky above.
"Don't try anything." Greyson warned, circling her to cuff her wrists behind her back. "Pretty stupid of you. At this point, you were better risking your life on the run."

Sova's heart was in her throat. Casualties?
She remembered the people of the city. The kids and parents crying. All the dead, human and pokemon alike. She was right. There had been more than enough casualties. But none of them were by her hand.
When the Greyson lands, Sova took a deep breath. She looks the older woman directly in the eyes, and nods before allowing herself to be cuffed. Sova doesn't realize it, and it might not be obvious, but she's star struck. She's blushing, and her hands are shaking, she can't quite stay still. All could be attributed to her nerves, and the previously attempted- and executed escape... But her tongue was tied. And That, wasn't normal.
"Pretty stupid of you. At this point, you were better risking your life on the run."
That seems to snap Sova out of something. "No I wasn't." She says firmly. "I did try to escape, but it was stupid and wrong, because you guys don't have all the information. Mago said we'd be dead by daylight if we stayed, but when I saw you, I knew it wasn't true... There's some bad stuff- people with pokemon powers- or- or something... And something called the diamond domain... is in danger. See, I'm not from here, I came to help my friend Amber, but then the people with the powers kidnapped my her, and her friend Doctor Cartier, and them- the people I was with- they're... people I just met. Amber hired them to help her save the world, but called me because she knew I'm a trainer, and I'd help if I could... and miss Greyson, all my life I've only ever wanted to do my best, and make the world a better place for people and pokemon. I won't- can't fight somebody who does the same thing. I'm sorry I tried to escape. I trust you to make sure I'm given a fair trial." Sova says, haltingly. She's incredibly earnest, and does her best to maintain eye contact if possible, while speaking.
