Saarda was terrible with crowds. They made her feel small and clumsy. Seeing the ladies there with their pretty smiles made her feel like a child. Worst of all, though. There were hardly any pokemon out with their trainers. Sure over there was the battle stadium, but the very fact that they'd had to build a stadium to contain the battles, and so that people could watch... made her uneasy. She went down an empty seeming alleyway and shivered, bracing herself against a wall. "I hate crowds. Cities... Ugh." She sighed, then she released Pidge and Tai, then Emery and Trish. "Hey guys." She said as she slid to the ground. "I don't like this place." She scratched Emery's ears and hugged Trish as her birds perched on her shoulder. "So big and yet so small. Nowhere to breathe. No one I know. Makes me homesick for Turnstone." She chuckled, "Not that I made many friends there. Three... besides you." She grinned. "It's different though. You guys... you're like me. Like... you're my friends. My best friends, but.. I guess I'm just a little homesick." She sighed, leaning her head on Emery's shoulder.
As she closed her eyes, she heard something. A gruff voice. A command. "Get on your feet."
She looked up at where a man was standing, masked, face shadowed by a large hat. He was holding something- metallic. She scrutinized his garb which seemed to be reminiscent of.... She growled, and stood, "What do you want?" She barked.
Emery tensed, stoking the flames within himself. "Hand over your pokemon girly and you won't get hurt-"
"Trish Thunderwave, Emery Ember, then use tackle, Trish." She commanded. WIthin a moment, and far too quickly for the crook's preference he was burned and battered, frozen on the ground. The knife he was holding had clattered away. "Pidgey..." She wrote a note and gave it into his keeping, "Take this to an officer... Hmm..." She shook her head, "Tai, go with her. The woman will be wearing a blue uniform and a hat. She might have a Growlithe with her. Make sure she reads the note, and make sure she comes with you back here." She said sending off her birds with the note which told of the encounter. Emery and Trish were still posted, ready to fight should he move. "Fool." She muttered, "Should know better than try to steal pokemon." She spat next to his head. "You are the worst kind of person. I hope you rot."
It didn't take long for her birds to return with the officer, who promptly cuffed the badguy and nodded to her, "Thank you for your assistance, trainer. We've bee looking for this one."
"You're welcome... Officer Jenny?" She cocked her head, "Is that you?"
"Hm? Oh you must have met my sister..."
Saarda scratched her head, and murmured, "If I had a pokeball for every time I heard that..."
"What did you say?"
"Nothing important officer. Thanks for your assistance."
"Any time citizen!" She saluted and dragged the criminal along behind her, and threw him into the back of her patrol car.
"Well, that, my dear pokemon, is why I hate cities. Lets get to the Pokemart, stock up, and get out of here."
