Zane hair whipped in the wind as the world around him zipped by. Tufts of flame exploded all around him as he and his Ponyta galloped towards their next destination. The scene of a disaster thanks to some poke'mon probably. But this wasn't just about that, it was about finding something to complete his team and to test his Ponyta's strength on. Hopefully he could find something strong enough to stand against her fire. They entered slowly, his Ponyta lighting the way in the dark cavern. He felt somewhat uneasy in the lack of light, but had no doubt that his new poke'mon would be alert enough to warn him of any attacking poke'mon.
3 pokeballs.

As the two partners slowly copped along, Ponyta's hooves making their presence quite loud, it was hard to see pretty much past a couple feet in any direction. While the flames did light up the surroundings well, they weren't focus light and therefore did nothing to extend their view. Zane patted her on the neck for her to slow down so he could get some kind of view of the cave. As the fire flickered on some walls he frowned with a sigh. "All right let's keep moving." he said and his poke'mon continued forward. It was times like his his mind ventured off into thought... "Say Ponyta..." He began, the horse merely snorted in acknowledgment and continued her watchful gaze. "Do you think there are evil poke'mon in the world?" He asked. For a moment, she stopped moved and turned her head slightly to look at him, then continued to move. "Do you not care?" he wondered and then kept talking. "I was talking to a new friend of mine and she said there were not evil poke'mon. But the more I think of it there more I have to disagree. Of all the poke'mon in the world, there isn't an evil one? You are all so complex, how can there not be a evil one." Zane said with a smirk and felt an itch on the back of his neck. Reaching back to scratch it, he continued. Ponyta didn't really respond, and was only listening herself. "I don't know if I am over thinking it or not. But I felt bad about her mom, how could someone steal poke'mon? That's like kidnapping. But I can see how bad guys would use poke'mon to their advantage. You guys sure make everything easier." he said with a laughed and then felt and itch lower on his back. "What is that..." he wondered. As he turned to scratch, he was met with two big eyes attached to his satchel, whatever it was was munching on the food inside. "Hey! Stop that!" he shouted and pushed it off. As it fell, it's arms spread wide open and it flew off into the dark. "See Ponyta? That poke'mon was stealing, and that's bad! Well... Maybe not bad. It's still wrong but it was probably just hungry. Is it us then? The humans that place their evil and good values on each other?" he questioned. Pondering this notion, he could hear flapping coming toward him. "Ponyta! Be ready for a fight, I think that thing was really hungry!" he shouted and hopped off his Poke'mon right before it swiped at him with it's stinger. Pulling out his poke'dex, Zane would need to wait for it once again. In this dark, there was no way that his Poke'dex would get a read on it. "We need to light up the area, Ponyta use ember around use. Let's expose it." he ordered. The fire horse whinnied in agreement and did a quick three-sixty blasting off smoldering balls of fire at the surrounding areas. One even came close to Zane and he had to dodge. "Watch it!" he said in annoyance, the Ponyta hung her head because she felt bad. Zane saw her and immediately felt bad for taking such a tone. But that was the wrong time to feel bad. Thankfully his pokemon was alert and blast a fire ball straight at his face. Zane's eyes grew wide as he quickly ducked, the fire smashing into the Gligar behind him. It fell to the ground in agony and Zane quickly took his place by Ponyta. Pointing the Poke'dex at the burning poke'mon he got that vital information. "We gotta be careful with that stinger Ponyta, I don't want us dying here in this place." he said with a slight smile. The enemy Poke'mon finally got the flames out and glared at him before flapping back into the flickering shadows. It continued to zoom around them, as Zane could listened to it's wings. "What is it waiting for..." he questioned. But as his thoughts soon ended, he realized what was going on. "Ponyta the flames! They are dying, give us some more!" he shouted, but the Gligar was headed straight for her. Zane caught it at the last moment and pulled his Poke'mons head down with his hands. But she had not made her flame safe for touch and he got burned in the process. "ARGH!" he groaned and looked at his bleeding hands. Ponyta quickly stepped in front of him and began to light the area up again, then lowered her head to the kneeling trainer. "Don't worry about me Ponyta, let's just take it down. It's pretty powerful so we should make it an ally." he said with a forced smile. Ponyta either was a fool, or played the fool for him. Turning to face her enemy, Ponyta's ears turned backward as the Gligar was charging once again. As it came in close, Ponyta reared into the air and came down across it's head with once of it's hooves. The crack was incredibly painful sounds and made Zane winced. With a groan of pain, he took a poke'ball in his hand and meagerly tossed it at the creature. Soon it was shaking as all of them did....

Shake, shake, shake... click! Congratulations! You have caught a female Gligar Level 6! Moves: Sand attack and Poison sting Traits: Doesn’t like to stay in pokeball, and friendly. Your pokemon enjoys meeting people, and so finds the isolation of it's pokeball bothersome.

Zane cursed under his breath as Ponyta used her nose to push the poke'ball toward her trainer. Though the click had sounded, it still shook violently and Zane was worried that it might still be hostile. "Be ready Ponyta..." he warned and forced a finger out with a groan to pop it open. In a flash of red light, the Fly Scorpion poke'mon appeared on the ground hopping slightly, looking around for it's captor. No...not to Zane, but the poke'ball itself. With one definite strike from it's stinger, the ball was broken and Gligar looked pleased. Zane's eyes were wide at the action and they watched it for a moment. It soon turned to look at him curiously and then gave what seemed to be a smile. Hopping cutely over to it's new trainer it latched onto his shirt with a hug. Zane couldn't help but forget his burns for a moment and hug back. But soon the searing pain returned and he got to his feet quickly. Clambering onto Ponyta, he looked down to the Poke'mon on his chest. "What shall I call you..." he pondered and the held on with his legs. "To town Ponyta, I need my hands better!" The poke'mon began towards the exit of the cave. As they stepped foot outside, Gligar quickly let go of his chest and began to soar high above them on their way to town.
