As the final click sounded , and the Mawile was captured, Saarda and her dog pokemon began a new battle. The pass, with it’s abandoned passages, and caved in side corridors, seemed home to a plethora of rock types, but little else. As the dogs searched, sniffing at a musty corner, a woobat launched out of the dark, screeching loudly, Saarda shook her head as they shot her a glance. She wanted something tougher. The dog pokemon loped around, almost tumbling over a little whismur, which screamed loudly as they passed. Emery whined and shook his head to get rid of the irritating ringing sound. “Keep going boy. You’ll find something…” Then, just after the Whismur, began crying, a largeish grey and pink pokemon appeared, it looked startled, and brandished it’s block of wood like a weapon at the dogs. “Timburr!” It growled.
“Hmm… kinda reminds me of machop.” Saarda murmured, while triggering her pokedex for more information.
’Timburr: the Muscular Pokémon. Timburr always carries a wooden beam. These Pokémon appear at building sites and help out with construction. Timburr is a bipedal, mainly gray Pokémon. Timburr have been seen helping construction workers. They carry squared logs and use them to fight with. When it can easily lift a heavy block of timber, it is close to evolving.’
“Sounds similar to Machop too.” Saarda said, “So, a fighting type with lots of muscle.” She nodded, “Teamwork, boys.” Saarda said, “Emery, use leer while you circle around back. Shadow, take the attention using howl. Intimidate it into being clumsy.” She ordered. Emery immediately dashed around, holding low, while gazing holes through the wary Timburr. Meanwhile, Shadow puffed up and howled. Timburr looked around, just noticing the disappearance of the Growlithe. He looked at Saarda, noticing the connection between the dog pokemon and their trainer. She raised a hand and made the signal Shadow didn’t realize meant Ember. Timburr cocked his head in incomprehension just a moment before he was hit in the back of the head by a ball of fire. “Shadow, use Ember! Hit the arm holding the beam so Timburr can’t hit Emery with it.” She shouted. Just then, Timburr looked at her, then back at Shadow and quickly evaded the Ember, swinging the large bundle of wood carefully, yet with force, trying to hit the dark dog pokemon. “Back, Shadow, Emery bite him!”
Timburr looked back, swung himself over his beams, and, using the momentum, he picked up the wood, and swung it hard as Emery leaped, teeth bared, toward the wild pokemon. The attack connected with a resounding crack, and a thud as Emery flew to the side, and landed heavily upon the ground. Timbur’s eyes slowly found Saarda’s. He winked.
“He under- crap.” She spat on the ground beside her. “Emery, can you get up?”
Timburr glanced over at the firetype cockily, but as he did so, Shadow noticed Saarda’s hands gesturing, making aggressive motions. He nodded, and charged up a powerful Ember. When she spoke again, she gestured for him to release it. “Emery, Ember!”
The dogs, in tandem, and without Timburr fully understanding what had happened, had fully readied for attack and launched searing balls of flame at him, which connected at the same moment, so that in a flash of heat and brilliant light, the fighting pokemon was pummeled by fire. “Now after Shadow, Emery, bite it!” She cried, “Shadow, use leer!”
Timburr heard Growlithe’s name and turned to him, as his defenses were lowered, then back at Shadow, as Emery launched himself into the Timburr’s body, avoiding the beams, and grabbing hold of his collar bone, and shaking. Timburr dropped his wood and wrested Growlithe’s snapping jaws away from his throat. As he did so, Shadow noted the signal for attack again. He used Ember and hit Timburr in the back shoulder. “Emery retreat.” Saarda called, as the fighting type stumbled, “Hit it with Ember one more time, both of you!” Timburr ducked and covered his head, but he was still covered by embers. Saarda gave the signal for halt of attack, then threw a pokeball confidently. The Timburr was quite weak.

Zane watched as Saarda began her own encounter and shook his head. Why was he expecting this to be an easy retrieval venture. Of course they would run into poke'mon. The teen moved over to his new poke'mon, grabbing the ball and watching it disappear into thin air. "Another one to the boxes guy... We are recruiting quite the army aren't we." he said with a wink as his poke'mon began to rally around him while Saarda was fighting the Timburr. Shalini looked on it seriously, wishing luck for her former trainer. Zane returned Abra just as Koga was entering the cave. "Glad you could make it, I thought your Skarmory was fast enough to catch up when you were done." he commented and handed the poke'mon who fought some poke'food. He noticed the boy was eating candy again, which spurred him to be an example. Reaching into his pack, he pulled an apple out and began munching as Koga seemed to be looking around as well.

Koga looked about while Saarda had finally caught the Timburr. The battle enticed him into finding his own adventure in a quick moment of enjoyment. Hopefully he'd find something that was as equally impressive as there own. He'd heard a lot about the Pokemon around this area. Koga smiled as he saw some movement in the rubble around a large boulder as Koga then looked to Star who was just floating about behind him almost like it was oblivious to the are around. Koga shook his head before leaning into the Solrock and poked it on the side as it spun around and looked up at it's master. "Sol..." It looked about as though it'd already known what Koga was hoping to have done. Star then spun and focused right on the boulder in which the movement was coming from before he moved the large rock tossing it to the side. This caused the Geodude to stir and look about and then to the Solrock and the other two trainers who had also had Pokemon drawn. It's first instinct was to run but then it'd noticed that the other two were not paying attention and realized that the Star shaped Pokemon seemed to be prodding around in her mind. Geodude then picked up a small rock and threw it at Solrock hitting it straight in its face. Solrock then spun knocking it out in a different direction in thousands of small pieces from its velocity of spin. Then Geodude took a defensive fighting stance and seemed to rub itself's head making it shine in the dim light. Koga hadn't seen a Pokemon do that before but he was new to the world anyways. However he was bound on catching this Geodude as he pointed at the small rock Pokemon. "Alright Star.... Rock Throw!" Star spun around a bit as a nearby large rock lifted up before slamming at Geodude who quickly moved out of the way. The Geodude then responded at charging the Star Pokemon but as she got near Solrock then spun. The Geodude was quick however Solrock was much quicker. It then dodged to the side launching another rock at her but she then again dodged, charging Solrock once more.
Even though Star was spinning and repelling the attacks it still seemed to harm it's shell. Star shook its head before slowly drifting off it seemed as Geodude was charging causing Geodude to slam hard into the Solrock. Knocking the Pokemon back on the ground it seemed hesitantly float back into the air. Koga then pointed again, "Hoho tackle!" HootHoot flew off of Koga's head and as Geodude was charging Solrock Hoho slammed into the back of her causing it to fall to the ground and Hoho to push back off and flutter in the air. Now Geodudes focus was on the owl who seemed to be deligently waiting for a move. Koga then shouted again as Geodude began to polish itself again. "Hoho Hypnosis quickly!" The small owl began it's routine in swaying back and forth as Geodude then rushed at her. She began to move back and forth waiting for the Geodude to fall. However it seemed to be inevitable that she would be hit. Just when Geodude was about to hit her small owl body it began to fall to the ground with its eyes closing shut. She slammed into the ground only a mere five inches from Hoho's feet. Hoho's eyes were wider then they'd ever been in shock as Koga walked over and patted Hoho on the head before throwing the Pokeball at the Geodude which hit it's hard rock exterior and bounced off. Causing the Geodude to turn into a red beam and be sent into the Pokeball. It landed back on the ground and began to shake.

Koga walked over a few more steps and reached down slowly picking up the Pokeball looking down at it in his palm with a smile. Koga then looked up over to Solrock and nodded to himself. Standing up he stood back up and moved over to the "Sleeping" Solrock and placed his hand on it's face. Causing the Solrock to stir from it's train of thought and wake up beginning to levitate once again. Spinning around a few turns it then stopped and looked about now snapped out of it's fantasizing. Koga stood up as Hoho flew over to his head once again and perched itself before he then turned around to his new two friends and smiled happily. "I got it guys!" He smiled before pulling out a new chocolate bar and biting into it with a smile while chewing. Zane's action of feeding his Pokemon gave Koga the idea to do the same. He then pulled out some Poketreats and fed his two Pokemon. "Alright guys what's next? I also guess... she's fast enough... Sadly... We aren't used... to one another... Her speed for me... And my weight on her back while flying for her..."

Saarda grinned at Zane as she turned around, “Caught one too!” she shouted. That was when she noticed Koga had begun to battle a geodude. “When did he get here?” She murmured to herself as she picked up Timburr’s ball. She kissed it and did a little happy dance.
Then she remembered she had an audience. Emery and Shadow stood side by side cocked their heads and wondered what their trainer was doing. Shadow decided she was wagging what would have been her tail if not for a horrible battle which involved either a Kingler or a very large and mean Pinsir… it had happened long ago, way before she had ever met Shadow… which was the reason he was so protective. Growlithe rolled his eyes. Protective… right…
She laughed to herself and released Timburr, who came out of the ball with wide eyes, his weapon ready. “Hey.” She said, “You know about pokemon battles right? When a trainer is involved?”
Timburr nodded hesitantly.
“Well, you lost a battle.” She said, “I can help you make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
He cocked his head.
“Training. Teamwork. Together with me and my friends here-“ She patted Emery and Shadow, “You can get really good. Really strong… really wise. You want that?”
He pursed his lips and looked up, for a moment, deep n thought. Then with a sly grin he tossed his piece of timber up into the air and caught it, “Tim Timburr!” He said and held out his free hand. “Timburr.”
“Welcome to the team, young friend. Hmm… Everyone usually gets a nickname. I’ve been thinking since I saw you…” He looked up at her curiously, “Trallic.”
He pursed his lips again and looked up. His free hand stroked his chin. “Tim…burr…”
“It would be for your evolved forms too. Don’t forget.”
“Tim Tim.” He waved away her explanation. Then he shrugged, “Timburr.” He nodded in agreement.
“Glad you approve Trallic.”
“Tim.” He nodded, then he introduced himself to the fire and dark types, and Saarda moved over to Zane.
She nodded to Koga as he caught the Geodude, and waved him over. “He seems to fit in… I saw what happened with Sasha… Is everything going to be OK with Mawile?” She asked, brushing the hair out of her eyes. She stretched as she waited for Zane to answer, because she was feeling too tense from the battle.

Zane smiled at Koga's eagerness for the trip to continue just as Saarda was making her way over after working out some kind of understanding with her new poke'mon. The way she handled her poke'mon was definitely different that his style, but he admired it all that much more because of it. "Sasha is a lot tougher than I think she makes herself out to be. She just doesn't like to be in the spotlight, huh Sasha?" he said with a sly grin, his small poke'mon beside him rolling up into a ball of embarrassment. Her action only made him laugh heartily and scoop her up into a hug. "You did great, you all did." he concluded talking to all his poke'mon, even the one on his belt. Sora by this point had come over and landed on top of his head, but he was so used to it that he hadn't noticed. "As for what's next Koga, we have to start searching these tunnels. For some kind of rock or what not. Wait a minute, Saarda, maybe your new poke'mon has seen it before. I mean he lived here right? What's his name? Trallic?" Zane asked in an eager tone.

Koga tilted his head at the two by four carrying Pokemon in intrigue. He then looked over to Zane who had begun speaking and Koga could only nod in agreement as it sounded to be the best path to travel down. "I think Zane's right on this one.... You should totally ask your Timburr about it and see if it'll help us..." Koga smiled at Saarda as he turned to his solrock who continued to bump into him almost as his way of teasing. Koga shook his head as aHootHoot then jumped down onto one of the spikes sticking out of it's body. It did nothing as she did but Koga shook his head with a smile then looked up to Zane and awaited the orders of what they would do next.

Saarda scratched her head, "You.. both just caught pokemon who live here too. And Koga, yours is a rock type. Why not ask her?" She asked, "I mean, the stone is drawing rock types to kyozon... Geodude has probably seen it." She shrugged, "But I suppose Trallic might...have seen it." she shrugged and turned to address Trallic who was still talking with the dog types. "Hey, we're looking for something. It's a stone which has been drawing Rock pokemon to this area for a long time. Recently, we think someone might have gotten their hands on it that shouldn't have. Scientists... er... people like-"
Trallic held up his free hand for her to stop talking and pointed down the corridor, before he turned about and skipped away from them. Saarda looked at the others and shrugged. She skipped after him, calling her dog types before her. "Come on guys." She said.

Zane would have objected, noting that his own poke'ball had disappeared to wherever they went when he had too many on him; which as of late, was every time he added another friend to his group. But she seemed to move past that and ask her poke'mon whether he had seen it or not, and to Zane's surprise, had. "Perhaps this cave isn't as big as we thought...or maybe he just gets around and explores." he mumbled as he watched Saarda skip after her poke'mon. Zane's eyes looked to Sora with a determined stare. "Keep an eye peeled for anything suspicious, and tell me right away even if you aren't sure." he directed, and then beckoned his two other ground types along with him. "Come on you two." he said with a small smile. Shalini and Sasha bounded off in the direction of Saarda with a happy bounce to their step. The young trainer of the two seemed to be content with how they were doing. He turned to Koga with a shrug as he began walking. "It wouldn't hurt to bring that geodude out." he commented.

Koga looked about as the party began to move. He looked down at the ground and imagined what could happen in this cavern system. It could possibly be the best adventure he'd ever had. Koga then turned his focus to Zane as he spoke. "Oh... I could... but I already have... Six Pokemon... She was sent to my pc... I'm sorry..." Koga thought of the fun he'd have if he had all of his Pokemon he'd caught in his time here. Koga then smiled at the group as they all moved forward into the unknown caverns after the Timburr. He wondered if he would become good friends with the two as his star and hoho followed with him. Koga inspected the large walls of the pass and the various Pokemon life in which inhabbited it all. Koga had then pulled out another chocolate bar and began eating it as well.

Trallic had not seen the stone. But the scientists had, of late, been everywhere. Invasively pushing him and all the other pokemon out of their homes. He, with a stern frown, lead the trainers and the dog pokemon into a little known, dark passage and down... down into the deepest parts of the pass. Into the parts so long forgotten.
After a while, Saarda became nervous. "Emery, Shadow... mark our way." She said quietly. "I don't want to get lost down here." The dogs glanced at eachother, then spread out and began peeing on the walls at regular intervals. Every hundred feet or so, and especially before a turn. Trallic personally thought it was disgusting. Saarda shrugged, "I did say mark our way." She muttered as they did so. After a while, following Trallic lost its glamor and she became bored. "So... guys... what are you thinking about? I was thinking about Willow. Did you guys hear about what happened at the pokemon center, a couple weeks ago? She was attacked by some thugs. She sent me a message... probably because of what happened to my mom when she was a trainer... at least that's what I thought. She seemed more angry than anything else." She said with a shrug. "Thing that worries me... is that she said it was..." She stopped speaking and frowned. Trallic had stopped moving and run back to her. He pressed a finger to his lip, and pointed. At the end of the passage... a good distance away, there was a dim light which slid across the darkness and illuminated a small portion of an otherwise very dim passage. Saarda held out her hands to stop the others. "Shadow. Go see what's there." She whispered. The dog slunk off and soon was invisible. Then after a moment, Saarda caught sight of his silouette. "Be careful..." She said in a tiny voice, but unluckily just then a person dressed in black and red exited the doorway, and nearly tripped over Shadow. The person cursed and switched on a light. Saarda without another thought, bounded forward, racing toward the person in dark clothing who now was holding a flashlight in her dog pokemon's eyes.
Even from that distance all involved could tell that the person was smirking. "Well, well." He said. "Trouble makers, ehy?"

The trio and their poke'mon would make their way into caves so deep that the traces of human mining was nearly non existent. Unlike Saarda, Zane's blood was pumping like a train at full speed on the rails that connected the world. It was this adrenaline he got from exploring that made him want to adventure in the first place. Of course, he was scared that something might happen, but it was that fear itself that made him relish these moments. Shalini and Sasha were now at his side dependently, fearing as well. But Sora continued to crawl and glide all over the place like the outgoing creature she was. Zane crouched for a moment as Saarda began to relay the news about Willow that Zane had missed. As he gave reassuring pets to his poke'mon he stood up in alarm. "No way... What would they want with her? Think it has something to do with why we are here?" he questioned as Trallic came running forward and Saarda extended her arms to slow them. Zane looked to Koga with a shrug, looking for other possible explanations from the boy.
But he noticed that Trallic said to keep quiet with a signal of a finger and quickly held his breath in anticipation. "Sora, back." he said in a slight whisper recalling his exploring poke'mon. For a moment, he listened for signs of movement nearly the light while Saarda sent his former poke'mon to investigate. Once again, nothing but the sound of Shadow's footsteps and then he reappeared near the light and nearly tripped a man. Saarda took off to protect her poke'mon, and Zane felt obligated to follow. "Come on!" he said loudly to Koga and the poke'mon before jogging after her. As he arrived, the man spoke in a sinister tone and Zane immediately took a defensive stance, ready to pull Abra out to teleport away if he needed to. Shalini and Sasha appeared posed to fight with Sora gliding up to the ceiling and hanging downward to give a hard leer at the man.
