To Omnes, Ransem’s, and Anansi’s surprise, a pleasant one at that, the growlithes attack missed. “The growlithe isn’t aiming...” He muttered to himself.
It dawned on him that his order may in fact go through. “Remember to run past the Electrike Ransem!” Shouted Omnes, making Ransem refocus in the fight. The piplup continued to charge at the Electrike, moving ever so slightly to the left, making sure that the spinarak on its back had a chance to use Poison Sting.
The growlithe kept throwing Embers aimlessly, making it less of a threat the more it shot. Then, out of anger and with a snarl, Emery charged at the piplup and spinarak duo, in the direction of the now startled Electrike, who was seeing its own teammate charge at it.
The poor Electrike froze in horror as it was being attacked at two sides. “TRIKE!!” cried Trish, not knowing what to do. Out of fear, the Electrike’s fur started to conduct electricity. Sparks were crackling around it.
Now it was the moment, Ransem veared a hard left and Anansi reached out with her pinsers and bit hard on the Electrike using Poison Sting. At that moment, Trish releashed Thunder Wave by instict, causing the spinarak to bite even harder, making her let go of Ransem, and latching on to it instead. Ransem came out of the wave but barely. The growlithe on the other hand, crashed into the Electrike at the peak of Thunder Wave and was electrocuted along with Anansi.
When the electricity faded, Electrike came out relatively unscathed, except a bite from the spinarak under its belly, and the bruise from the charging Growlithe. The growlithe on the other hand was shocked pretty badly. It couldn't move from its paralyzation.
Seeing the entire thing was a complete shock. No pun intended. Maybe. Omnes called out to his spinarak, seeing if she was ok. “Anansi! Anansi! Can you hear me!?”
Anansi groggily made a small cry, trying to reassure her bellowing trainer. “Spi-na...”
“Ok, just hang on! Ransem get that Growlithe out of the way. Use Pound!”
Ransem nodded and charged the recovering fire pokemon. Knowing that his piplup would be alright, Omnes turned his focus on Anansi. “Anansi, if you’re able to, use String Shot to tie up the Electrike’s legs! And keep biting it using Poison Sting!”
[Ooc: You can use my spinarak and piplup how you wish in the next post.]

Saarda growled, "Growlithe!" Then she turned her eyes on Trish, "Trish! Get away from the Spinerak! Run!" She leapt away, and looked at Emery who, unable to move, had just taken a pound to the shoulder from Piplup. "Trish, help your partner, tackle the Piplup and as you do, hit him with a thunderwave!" Trish barked, and snarled as she ran. Piplup looked away from Emery just as Paralysis wore off, to see the Electrike charging at him, sparks flying. "Emery! If you can move, get away from there!" Saarda cried, seeing him lift his head blearily. His ears perked, and he shrugged off the remnants of the Thunderwave, and ran limpingly a little ways away.
That was when Trish hit Ransem with her tackle, sparks flying. Ransem cried out, closing his eyes and cringing as the paralyzing electricity coursed over his birdy body, and he fell, rolling away, heaving breaths as he tried his best to regain control over his body. Trish turned to Emery and barked at him furiously, probably telling him what an idiot he was for disobeying their trainer and getting them both hurt. Then she turned to Ransem and placed a paw on his chest. She looked up at his trainer and then back at Emery. "Trike!" She said stepping away. Emery charged an ember, but waited to release it. Meanwhile, Spinerak had regained her feet, and shot stringshot at Emery, who shook it off and spat an ember in the bug type's direction. "Emery! I told you, no wasted attacks! You saw what happens when you disobey! Trish is right, hit Piplup! He's the bigger threat! Trish, tackle that Spinerak! She can poison you!" Trish nodded and went to it. Emery however was staring off into space. "Oh my-! Emery! If you can't focus and use ember you can go back into your Pokeball!"
He snapped out of it, and spat the ball of flame at the little bird pokemon. He shook his head, vowing focus to himself and his teammate, who sniffed in irritation.

Ransem was able to get a good hit on the paralyzed Growlithe. He stood over it growling at it. Anansi couldn’t move from her own parylization, so the Electrike shook her off. Trish was starting to understand the flow of battle and its focus and fear was beginning to fade.
Saarda gave an order to the Electrike. “Trish, get away from Spinarak! Run!” Once it was a safe distance away, Trish’s trainer had her help her fallen teammate. “Trish, help your partner, tackle the Piplup and as you do, hit him with a Thunder Wave!” The Electrike obeyed and charged at Ransem, sparks flying and snarls resounding.
“Emery!” She said to her Growlithe, “If you can move, get away from there!” Upon hearing his trainer, the Growlithe perked its ears, picked itself off the floor, and limped out of the way.
Ransem only had time to see a blur of yellow and green when the Electrike tackled and paralyzed the piplup with Thunder Wave. The piplup crashed to the ground, unable to move any of his limbs, only able to see the world around him until he regained his strength.
Anansi was able to move its body again; the paralyzing effect from Thunder Wave wore off. Being a good distance away, she used String Shot in order to tie up Trish’s legs. Omnes saw her effort, but knew that it wouldn’t work. “No! Anansi you’re too far away!” The String Shot missed as the Electrike moved away. Saarda gave her Growlithe orders to attack his Spinarak. “Run Anansi! Run!” yelled Omnes, hoping that his Spinarak could get out of the way.
The Growlithe slowly charged up another Ember, and apparently zoned out in the middle of the battle. Seeing it incompetance, Trish charged to the running Spinarak.
Omnes bellowed another order to Anansi. “Use String Shot on that Electrike! Aim for the legs! If it catches and it trips, jump on it and use Poison Sting until its poisoned! If not, KEEP RUNNING!”
At the same time, after a threat from Saarda, Emery shot its Ember at Ransem, who could only brace itself from the impact of flames. That attack was almost a cursed blessing, since it helped the piplup overcome his paralysis, but it was burned one of its wings at the same time. Ransem picked himself up and charged at the Growlithe with determination in his eyes, Growling loudly to intimidate it. The piplup readied his good flipper for a critical Pound on the Growlithes face.

The battle waged, sparks and fire lighting the night in a spectacular manner. Orders were shouted “Use String Shot on that Electrike! Aim for the legs! If it catches and it trips, jump on it and use Poison Sting until its poisoned! If not, KEEP RUNNING!” and the Pokemon struggled against eachother and their inexperience. As Omnes ordered Spinerak to tie her legs, Trish put on an extra burst of speed and leaped over the string shot, aiming for a spectaular tackle.
"Eleeeectriike!" She howled as she made contact, and landed with some flare, as Spinerak tumbled and lay dazed. Trish threw a thunderwave at it just in case, then turned to her partner, who was, it seemed, about to take yet another hit to the face. She sighed, thinking roughly the equivalent of 'it's a good thing he's pretty.' She then dashed to his side, covering the ground just barely more quickly than Ransem.
Surprisingly, however, Emery was not drifting off, but waiting. As Piplup delivered the hit, he reared his head back and bit the bird's flipper savagely, and swung him to the ground, "Growlithe!" He barked, and delivered another ember. Even so, Ransem stood and growled defiantly. Trish glanced at the Spinerak who was twitching as the thunderwave wore off. She barked at her partner to finish, but he wouldn't move. He didn't quite understand why the little blue bird would keep getting up after taking so many punishing attacks. As he pondered the question, Piplup delivered a harsh pound to Emery's face. Emery stumbled backward and barked, shaking his head.
"Emery hit him."
Ransem advanced on Emery flipper raised. The larger fire type whined, and looked to Trish, who, obliging his request, shot a Thunderwave at Piplup. "Growlithe." He whined, pawing at the bird pokemon. He looked at Spinerak, who was wearily getting up, and readying a poison sting. "Lith!" He barked at Trish, who turned back to deal with the smaller spider. "Grow." He turned back to Ransem, pushed the little pokemon over, and Roared in his face, causing Piplup to come out of his paralysis and struggle to get away. "Growlithe, Grow." He said eye to eye, with a large paw on the pokemon's blue wing. He was saying that he respected Piplup's resolve. His strength... but also saying what they both knew. Nincada was weak against fire. Emery could seriously hurt her if he was pushed to end the battle. "Growli Growlith grow wlith lith lithe." He knew he wasn't the smartest pokemon on the field, but even he could see that things were getting rougher than they should.
"Emery, Bite!" Saarda commanded.
"Growlithe." His trainer was calling him to finish the fight. He would use his most powerful Ember the next time she asked. One way or another the battle would end in the next few attacks. "Grow." He still felt strong. He'd only suffered a few blows, and none he was particularly weak against. Besides that he was the oldest and strongest. Highest level. He could tell.
Emery told Ransem all these thing unbeknownst to their trainers, who believed that he was only using Leer attack- which he was indeed using. Ransem had to think fast. He hoped he could figure out a way out of the pinning stare, but Emery was heavier.
Meanwhile, Anasi was leading Trish on a merry chase, using string shot to pull herself away from the shockingly-no pun intended-fast Electrike, who was doing her best to hit the little spider with a tackle.
"EMERY! NOW!"
